Why we (must) run

Humans are made to run. Running makes us human. It’s true. And the best, simplest and funnest explanation I’ve seen is here. This video is really a great way to spend seven minutes of your day. Then, go for a run.

Also, a terrific story by my friend Trevor about two of the founders of the modern running boom. Worth the read! Money quote: If we do not want the fate of dinosaurs, we need to see the chair as our asteroid. The advantage is that we can stand up, start walking away, walk more and faster, jog–and maybe even run. As Paffenbarger once put it, “A little exercise is better than none, but more is better than a little.”
